Shrinay's journey with Aksharboat began with his own love for learning English. In his early years, he enjoyed reading, practicing phonics, and storytelling. However, when he moved to his hometown, he noticed that many students in Kannada, Marathi, and Urdu-medium schools struggled with reading English. This wasn’t just a reading challenge—it was affecting their confidence, making them too shy to speak in front of others.
Instead of ignoring the problem, Shrinay decided to take action. Using the reading techniques he had learned, he started helping students in local schools. What began as a small effort has now impacted 200+ students across 4 schools, and this is just the beginning!
Why It Started
What Shrinay Saw
Shrinay noticed that most children in Kannada, Marathi, and Urdu-medium schools struggled with reading English. But it wasn’t just about reading—it was affecting their confidence. Many students felt hesitant, scared, and too shy to stand up and speak in front of others. Their difficulty with English made them hold back, limiting their ability to express themselves freely.
How He Started Making a Difference
Inspired by his own learning experiences, Shrinay developed fun and engaging methods to help these students. Instead of using traditional methods, he introduced Reading tricks to make English easier to understand. Interactive storytelling to encourage students to express themselves. Confidence-building activities so they could speak without fear. By making learning fun and interactive, students started gaining confidence—not just in reading, but in expressing themselves freely!
Why ‘Aksharboat’ Perfectly Represents This Journey
The name "Aksharboat" (अक्षरबोट) holds deep meaning:
🔹 "अक्षर" (Akshar) means Letters – The foundation of reading, learning, and education.
🔹 "बोट" (Boat) represents a Focused Journey – Just like a boat moves steadily through water, Aksharboat symbolizes a guided and distraction-free journey into the world of knowledge.
Every student who joins Aksharboat embarks on a path of learning, confidence, and self-growth. The goal is to help them navigate through reading and expression with clarity, focus, and belief in themselves—just like a boat sailing smoothly toward its destination.

Our Location
Currently, Aksharboat operates in Nipani Region, in Karnataka, working closely with students from regional language schools. Since June 2024, The initiative has:

✔ Reached 4+ schools
✔ Helped students gain reading confidence & public speaking skills
Our vision is to expand Aksharboat’s reach to more schools in different regions, making reading and confidence-building accessible to even more students.
